"Nikko Fir is about music. And possibly about a pine tree. More than that, Nikko Fir is about music that could be listened to when pine trees are nearby. Music that is sharp and pungent and cleansing, with a slight air of loneliness and high places. Music about life - the smiles and the tears. Music about love - the joy and the pain. Music about a hope almost too good to be true - and almost as elusive. For me, pine trees are synonymous with journeying, and with homecoming - and these are songs sharing the journey, and the hope of a home at the end."
